Hiring Agency Tourism, Arts, & Heritage Cabinet Kentucky Artisans Center at Berea Location 200 Artisan Way Berea, KY 40403 USA Description WE ARE HIRING! The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea has an opening for an Artisan Center Retail Sales & Service Supervisor.

Oversee sales and service staff Hire and schedule staff and direct their work ensuring effective sales and service staff Provide exemplary hospitality and professionalism Oversee retail merchandising Ensure point of sales and credit card systems are utilized properly for correct sales Plan and implement displays for promoting products Assist with special orders, shipping, and receiving Develop gift baskets and other product promotions to promote sales Oversees sales and service staff training and team building Assist with selection, ordering, receiving, and categorizing of all product and enter into the point of sales system Maintain perpetual inventory Assist with policy and resource development and ensures they are followed at all times This position requires supervisory skills, maturity, reliability, and self-discipline.
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Two years of experience managing an art, craft, gift, or other retail business.
Substitute EDUCATION for
Experience:
NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Experience managing an art, craft, gift, or other retail business will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.
):
NONE Working Conditions Work typically involves extensive contact with the public and interaction with other Artisan Center staff and artisans.
May involve some travel throughout the state.
Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.
